Two Arrested with MDMA Worth ₹46.5 Lakh in Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Apr 19, 2026: Kankanady Town police arrested two persons on Sunday for allegedly selling MDMA near Jeppinamogaru in the city.

The accused have been identified as Parvez alias Dawood Parvez (40), a resident of Pilaru Hosagadde in Permannur village, and Nazarath Ali (37) of Pilaru. Acting on a tip-off that the duo were arriving on a motorcycle to sell a large quantity of the narcotic, police raided the spot and seized 465.8 grams of MDMA valued at ₹46.5 lakh.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Parvez was procuring the drug from outside the district and targeting youth and college students for distribution in the city. He has prior cases registered at Pandeshwar, Vamanjoor, Bunder, Amruthahalli (Bengaluru), and Udupi CEN police stations for drug-related offences.

Police said Parvez is a known drug peddler, while Nazarath Ali was assisting him in the trafficking operation.
