Thousands of students participate in road safety rally

Mangalore, Jan 25, 2014: Minister for forest, ecology and environment Ramanath Rai flag off the road safety rally held as a part of 25th national road safety week at Light House Hill road on Jan 25, Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, Rai said that every person must follow road safety regulations in their day to day life and control the increasing number accidents.
He also said that such road safety awareness programmes must be organized among the people to save their precious lives and learn about road safety measures.
DC A.B. Ibrahim, DK Regional Transport Officer A.A. Khan, DCP Jagadish and others were present.
Large number of students from different colleges carried out a rally from LHH road to State Bank.
