Sowjanya Horata Samithi launches NOTA campaign

Puttur, April 16, 2024: Mahesh Shetty Timarody, social activist who is leading the campaign seeking justice for Sowjanya, has said that the Sowjanya Horata Samithi will be conducting a NOTA campaign during the upcoming Lok Sabha elections for the cause of protection of religion, justice and truth.
Speaking to reporters at Puttur Press Club, he said no political party has been able to ensure justice in the Sowjanya rape and murder case and neither the truth has come out. He said the NOTA campaign was not intended to defeat anyone or show disrespect to anyone, neither it aims to defeat political parties. The campaign only wants the upcoming election to be an election for justice and truth, he said.
He said his organization expects nearly 1.5 lakh to 2 lakh NOTA votes in DK.
On this occasion, he released the NOTA campaign posters. Activists of Sowjanya Horata Samithi were also present.
