Mangalore, Sep 19, 2013: Snehalaya, a home for the destitutes at Talapady, has given a fresh lease of life to a 27 year old Nepali youth who was found wandering on the roads of Talapady and was in a state of mental imbalance about a year ago. He has now reunited with his brother who arrived here, and would soon join his family in Nepal.
The youth identified as Sanjeev from Sundarpur in Morang district of Nepal was reported missing nine years ago from Delhi where he was supposed to undergo training in hotel management. But, somehow he had landed in Mangalore and had almost lost his sanity. He was even unable to speak.
Snehalaya authorities who noticed him on the streets, took him to the home and gave him the necessary medical treatment at the Yenepoya Hospital. Joseph Crasta, Managing Trustee of Snehalaya Charitable Trust said he was named Siddu by Snehalaya inmates.The treatment improved his condition and he was soon able to speak and give details regarding his family and hometown.
Later, Snehalaya authorities contacted his family at Nepal and his younger brother Suraj Dhingal who is working in Abu Dhabi arrived on September 16, Monday along with his uncle Ganesh. The two have left for Nepal along with Sanjeev on September 19, Wednesday.
