Delhi shocker: Woman gang-raped inside private bus, two arrested

New Delhi, May 14, 2026: A 30-year-old woman was allegedly gangrape by two men inside a private bus in the national capital on Monday. The Delhi police registered a case on the basis of the woman’s complaint and later arrested both accused in the case.

According to media reports, the two accused were the bus driver and conductor. They were arrested at the location of the crime incident after the woman’s complaint.

The Delhi Police have also seized the bus used in the crime. The survivor is a daily wage labourer at a factory.

According to media reports, the incident occurred on Monday night in Delhi’s Rani Bagh area. The survivor, who is a resident of a slum cluster in Pitampura, works at a factory in Mangolpuri.

The woman alleged that the two men pulled her into the bus near Saraswati Vihar. She was waiting there to catch a bus.

The two men were arrested following the woman’s medical, which indicated sexual assault.

According to the woman’s allegations, there were three people on board the bus on the night of the incident, out of whom she has accused two individuals of kidnapping and rape.

Following this, the police registered a case under sections 64(1)/70(1)/3(5) of BNS in Rani Bagh PS and initiated legal action. Further investigation is underway.

What Happened On The Night Of May 11?

On May 11, the woman was walking back home at night after work as she usually did. A sleeper bus stopped at the bus stop in Saraswati Vihar, reported news agency IANS.

According to reports, the woman approached a man who was standing at the bus door and asked him the time, after which he allegedly forced her inside the vehicle.

According to the police, the accused drove the bus towards Nangloi, where the woman was allegedly sexually assaulted.

According to police, the survivor is married and has three children.
