According to the complaint, the incident occurred around 10 pm on Thursday, May 7, when Speaker Khader was returning after attending a private function at a resort in Mastikatte, Ullal. As Junaid and ten others from Madani Nagar attempted to approach the Speaker, security personnel Mohammed Yaseen allegedly stopped them, stating that it was already very late and denying them permission to meet him.

It is alleged that Junaid and his associates then pushed aside the security officer and moved towards the Speaker. They reportedly confronted Khader in a loud voice over the Koragajja circle issue at Kuthar Junction. The complainant also alleged that videos of the confrontation were later circulated on social media along with objectionable captions. Based on instructions from his superiors, Mohammed Yaseen submitted the complaint at the Ullal police station on May 9.

Years ago, a local Bajrang Dal organisation had constructed a small circle at Kuthar Junction featuring symbolic representations associated with Koragajja to help devotees visiting the famous Koragajja shrine from different parts of the state identify the location. The existing structure is now being removed, and a new circle is being developed by Nitte Deemed to be University.

Meanwhile, a section of Muslims from Madani Nagar in Kuthar reportedly objected to the construction of a circle in the name of Koragajja. Videos showing the group confronting Speaker Khader over the issue went viral on social media, triggering widespread discussion and raising questions about the Speaker’s security arrangements.
