Mangaluru, October 11, 2026: The chappara muhurtha for the fifth edition of Kudla da Pili Parba 2026 was held at Nehru Maidan in Mangaluru. The event is organised by Kudla Samskruthika Prathishtana under the guidance of former MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and the leadership of MLA D. Vedavyas Kamath.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Vedavyas Kamath said the event, scheduled for Sunday, October 18, aims to celebrate Tulu Nadu’s rich cultural heritage and pass its traditions on to future generations.
He extended his best wishes to all participating tiger dance (Pili Vesha) teams and invited the public to attend and encourage the performers. He expressed confidence that the event would be a grand success.
Kudla Samskruthika Prathishtana honorary president Giridhar Shetty, president Divakar Pandeshwar and members Naresh Shenoy, Yatheesh Baikampady, Kamalaksha Bajilakeri, Kiran Shenoy, Naresh Prabhu, Jagadish Kadri and Lalith Mendon, among others, were present.
