Udupi, June 18, 2024: Senior advocate and Congress leader Cherkady Vijaya Hegde passed away due to heart attack on the morning of June 18, Tuesday.

Hegde had served as the President of Udupi Bar Association and Udupi Town Development Authority. He had also worked as the election agent of the Congress party during Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.

Hegde is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.
