Mangaluru, Sep 22, 2026: Bajpe Police Inspector Balakrishna was caught red-handed by Lokayukta officials while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000.

Police arrest


According to the information available, Balakrishna had allegedly demanded Rs 25,000 from the accused in a cheating case to release money that had been seized from them during the investigation.

As part of the trap, Lokayukta officials caught the inspector while he was allegedly receiving Rs 5,000. Further details of the operation are awaited.
