Brahmavar, Jan 24, 2023: Well-known Gamaka artiste, singer and retired Kannada teacher Chandrashekhar Kedlaya passed away at Brahmavar on January 24 at the age of 73.

Hailing from Haryady in Kundapur,  Chandrashekhar was born on October 23, 1951. He had served as Kannada teacher at the Nirmala High School at Brahmavar for over three decades. His  programmes have been aired on All India Radio and telecast by Doordarshan. He had also authored several plays like Daksha Yajna, Girija Kalyana, Shanthale, Dashakanyeyaru, Ramjanana etc and had also composed songs for ballets.

He had bagged district level and state level best teacher award, Karnataka Shree Title apart from several awards and accolades.
