Puttur, July 30, 2026: Puttur Town Police have registered a case against BJP leader Arun Kumar Puthila and 25 to 30 others for allegedly staging a road blockade to demand the repair of the Mayangala Road in Narimogaru village, causing disruption to public and vehicular traffic.

According to the police, the incident occurred on the morning of July 27, 2026, after they received information that a group of people had blocked the road, obstructing the movement of vehicles and the public. Acting on the information, Puttur Town Police Sub-Inspector Suresh S. and his team rushed to the spot and conducted an inspection.

Police said that Arun Kumar Puthila, Manish Kulal, Avinash Jogi, Premaraj, Prateek Puthila, Sriram Pathala, Umesh Kodibailu, Anil Tenkila, Ravikumar Rai, Jagadish Rai, Prashanth Nekkilady, and about 25 to 30 others had allegedly assembled and staged the road blockade without obtaining prior permission.

The protesters reportedly blocked the road demanding immediate repairs, resulting in inconvenience to the public and disruption of smooth traffic movement.

A case has been registered at Puttur Town Police Station as Crime No. 93/2026 under Sections 189(2) and 126(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, and further investigation is underway.
