Mangaluru, July 2, 2023: K Ashraf, the president of the Dakshina Kannada District Muslim Federation, announced that the forum would support Hindu sadhus and pontiffs if they requested a complete ban on beef exports from the country to the central government.
In response to the opposition expressed by sadhus and pontiffs from Dakshina Kannada, who are against the Karnataka government’s intention to abolish the Anti-Cow Slaughter Act, Ashraf stated that Muslim leaders would join Hindu leaders in meeting the Prime Minister to advocate for a total ban on beef exports.
It is worth noting that during a gathering of sadhus and pontiffs from various Hindu Mutts on Friday, they decided to resist the Congress government’s efforts to repeal the Anti-Cow Slaughter Act and the anti-conversion law.
"In the current political landscape, seers from the coastal region have expressed their intention to meet the governor and the Prime Minister to oppose the Congress government’s plan of repealing the Anti-Cow Slaughter Act and the anti-conversion law. They have also warned of potential protests against the Congress government if these laws are repealed. During a meeting held in Mangaluru, the seers should demand a ban on the export of beef to foreign countries," added Ashraf.
