Morning walk kills man in hit and run

Mangaluru, Oct 10, 2016: In a tragic accident, a man on his regular morning walk was killed on the road, after he was hit by an unidentified vehicle at about 5 am on Oct 9, Sunday at Hosabettu, Surathkal.

The deceased has been identified as Laxman Shetty; he was employed as a Senior Engineer in KIOCL. Sources say it was a case of hit-and-run.

The people who prefer walking should use parks for walking because the roads are not safe as most of the roads do not have proper footpaths.
