Kasargod bank guard murder: Two held within 24 hours after cricket dispute turns deadly in Badiyadka

Kasargod, May 19, 2026: In a swift breakthrough, the Badiyadka police arrested two persons within 24 hours in connection with the murder of a bank security guard at Marpanadkka in Badiyadka.

The deceased has been identified as Suresh (42), a security guard at a service cooperative bank in Kumbdaje.

The arrested accused are Kiran and Akhilesh.

According to police, the incident took place inside the bank premises, where Suresh was allegedly stabbed to death following a verbal altercation that escalated into violence.

Investigators said the dispute reportedly originated during a cricket match and later turned into a heated argument, ultimately leading to the murder inside the bank compound.

Police confirmed that both accused were apprehended within 24 hours of the incident.
