Moodbidri: Tipper driver arrested for mowing down man

Moodbidri, Feb 07, 2023: Police have arrested a tipper driver Aris  of Kotebagilu  in connection with a case of mowing down a man who advised him to drive slowly without giving rise to dust. The incident had occurred on Friday last week and the accused was arrested at Ulaibettu on Monday.

Aris has been  accused of attacking Kotebagilu resident Fayaz with an iron rod and mowing him down with his tipper when the latter fell down.Fayaz had later died while being rushed to the hospital.

Cops had formed three teams to nab Aris. He has been produced before the court and remanded to 14 days of judicial custody.
