Bengaluru, Sep 10, 2026: After several days of sustained operations, city police have cracked down on drug peddling, seizing narcotics worth Rs 12 crore, officials said on Wednesday.
Seven suspects, including a foreigner, were held after Girinagar, Indiranagar, Chikkajala and Govindapura police acted on tip-offs and raided several places.
Police investigations revealed that the suspects procured the contraband at lower prices from unknown individuals in the state and overseas and sold them at a higher price to the public and college students.
Police recovered 11.237 kg of MDMA, 2.352 kg of hydro ganja and 10 kg of ganja from the suspects. The seized items also include a mobile phone.
The suspects were produced before a court and were remanded to judicial custody. Police are continuing their efforts to nab the unknown individuals who sold the banned substances to the suspects.
