Bengaluru, Oct 27, 2026: Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara was admitted to Vydehi Hospital in Bengaluru on Tuesday after he reportedly experienced chest pain, fatigue and breathing discomfort while returning from a Karnataka State Badminton Association programme. His condition was stable, according to leaders who visited him at the hospital.
Parameshwara, who also holds the Sports portfolio, had attended the association’s programme earlier in the day and interacted with participants. He reportedly developed discomfort while leaving the venue, following which he was taken to the hospital and admitted for examination and treatment.

Health Minister U T Khader was also present and spoke to the doctors attending to the Deputy Chief Minister.
Speaking to TV reporters, Khader said Parameshwara had undergone medical examinations and was doing well. He added that doctors would decide on the further course of treatment after assessing his condition.
“He is fine and has been speaking normally. The doctors are examining him and they will provide further details about the treatment,” he said.
