Mangalore, Jan 6, 2012: Delivering the valedictory address at the valedictory ceremony of the Coastal Business Development Summit held at T. V. Raman Pai Convention Centre, Veerappa Moily, the union minister of corporate affairs, said that the elected representatives of DK must work for its development irrespective of their party.

The event was organized jointly by the Federation of Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Department of Industries and Commerce, Coastal District Chambers of Commerce, Department of Infrastructure Development, NRI Forum, and Coastal Development Authority (CDA).

Further, Moily said that industries should not be limited to Bangalore and must be spread over in smaller cities too as this decentralizing of industries will give significance to smaller cities such as Mangalore.

Speaking about the development of smaller cities, he said that they must have infrastructure in relation to their man power.

FKCCI President J. R. Bangera delivered the welcome address and FKCCI Vice President R. Shivakumar proposed the vote of thanks.

Among the prominent citizens present were MLC Captain Ganesh Karnik, Deputy Speaker N. Yogesh Bhat, CDA President B. Nagaraj Shetty, Karnataka State Special Representative V. Dhananjay Kumar, and others.
