Many passengers injured as 2 buses collide at Thumbay

Bantwal, June 21, 2024: Several passengers of two private buses sustained minor injuries after the two buses collided with each other near the curve at Thumbay on NH 75 on Thursday evening.

While one bus was on way to Puttur from Mangaluru, the other bus was heading towards Uppinangady.  The Uppinangady bus rammed into the Mangaluru-Puttur bus from behind.

It has been alleged that the drivers of the two buses were always involved in an unhealthy competition resulting in the mishap.
