Mantralayam road accident: Mangaluru HOPCOMS General Manager killed, three injured

Kurnool, Jul 21, 2026: Ravi Shetty (43), General Manager of HOPCOMS, Mangaluru, was killed in a road accident near Mantralayam in Andhra Pradesh’s Kurnool district early on Tuesday.

According to reports, Ravi Shetty was travelling with three friends to offer prayers at the Sri Raghavendra Swamy Temple in Mantralayam. While they were travelling on the national highway, their car reportedly went out of control and crashed into the road divider.

Ravi Shetty died on the spot, while the three other occupants sustained serious injuries. The injured have been identified as Pradeep Alva of Mangaluru, Purushotham Bhandary, and CA Sudesh Rai.

Local residents rushed to the scene and shifted the injured to the Government Hospital in Emmiganur, where they are undergoing treatment.

Police reached the accident site after receiving information about the mishap, conducted an inspection, and registered a case. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.
