Mangaluru: 16-year-old girl missing from Pajiru; lookout notice issued

Mangaluru, Apr 18, 2026: A 16-year-old girl has gone missing from Pajiru village in Konaje, prompting police to issue a lookout notice and register a case at the Konaje Police Station.

The missing girl has been identified as Chaithanya (16), daughter of Jagadish, a resident of Adka in Pajiru. She is a Class 10 student at Harekal Ramakrishna High School and had been at home after completing her examinations.

According to the complaint, Chaithanya left her house on April 12 morning along with friends to attend the Polali fair. However, she did not return home even by night, causing concern among family members. Despite searching at the houses of friends and relatives, her whereabouts could not be traced.

Following this, the family lodged a complaint at the Konaje Police Station, and a case has been registered. Police have launched a search and issued a lookout notice to trace the missing girl.
