Mangalore : Rich tributes paid to Kargil Martyrs

Mangalore, July 27, 2013 : Floral tributes were paid as a mark of respect to the Kargil Martyrs  at the War Memorial at Kadri here on July 26, Friday on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas.

Hundreds of people had arrived  at the War Memorial braving the heavy rains to pay their respects. Though a Candle Light Vigil had been planned, it could not take place due to the heavy downpour. Later the gathering paid floral tributes at the war memorial.

 

 

Col. Sharath Bhandari, President of DK District Ex-Servicemen’s Association, SM Airan, General Secretary, Vikram Dutt, Treasurer, Brigadier IN Rai, Vijaynath Vittal Shetty,  Managing Trustee of Shastavu Sri Bhoothanatheshwara Temple and others were present.
