Mangaluru, September 26, 2025: The fourth edition of Kudla Pili Parba, the tiger costume dance competition organised by Kudla Samskritika Prathisthana as part of Dasara celebrations, will be held on September 30 at Nehru Maidan, Mangaluru City South MLA D. Vedavyas Kamath announced on Friday.
The competition will run from 9.30 a.m. to 10 p.m., featuring 10 teams, each allotted 20 minutes to perform. Along with traditional hulis, the event will also include kari hulis (black-costumed performers) and mari hulis (children performers).
Six judges will evaluate the performances, with four present at the venue and two serving as “third umpires” reviewing live video footage. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams as well as in various individual categories.
Arrangements have been made to accommodate around 5,000 spectators and the event will also be telecast live, the MLA said.
