Kasaragod: DC Inbasekhar K transferred; Arjun Pandyan appointed as new DC

Kasaragod, Feb 27, 2026: In a move ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections, the government has issued orders transferring Kasaragod District Collector Inbasekhar K. Arjun Pandyan, who was serving as the District Collector of Thrissur, has been appointed as the new District Collector of Kasaragod.

Arjun Pandyan had earlier served as the District Collector of Kasaragod, during which he efficiently handled election-related responsibilities and earned appreciation. In recognition of his exemplary service, he had also received an award from the Election Commission. His reappointment to Kasaragod has generated considerable interest within administrative circles in the district.

Meanwhile, Shikha Surendran IAS, who was serving as the State Tourism Director, has been appointed as the new District Collector of Thrissur. The state government secretariat has issued an official notification in this regard, stating that the order comes into effect immediately.

In the backdrop of the Assembly elections, several IAS officers have been transferred across the state as part of measures aimed at ensuring smooth administrative functioning.
