Bengaluru, July 30, 2026: South Western Railway (SWR) has announced changes to several train services due to yard remodelling works at KSR Bengaluru Railway Station on multiple days. The changes include cancellations, rescheduling, and diversion of trains.
Train Services Cancelled
* Train No. 16565 Yesvantpur Junction–Mangaluru Central Weekly Express, scheduled to depart from Yesvantpur Junction on August 2, 2026, has been fully cancelled.
* Train No. 16566 Mangaluru Central–Yesvantpur Junction Weekly Express, scheduled to depart from Mangaluru Central on August 3, 2026, has also been fully cancelled.
Train Rescheduled
* Train No. 16586 Murdeshwar–SMVT Bengaluru Express, departing Murdeshwar on August 3, 2026, has been rescheduled by one hour. The train will now leave at 3.25 pm instead of 2.25 pm.
Change in Origin, Termination and Diversion
* Train No. 16511 KSR Bengaluru–Kozhikode Express, operating from July 30 to August 2, 2026, will originate from SMVT Bengaluru instead of KSR Bengaluru. The train will depart SMVT Bengaluru at 8.00 pm and will be diverted via Banaswadi, skipping its scheduled halt at KSR Bengaluru.
* Train No. 16512 Kozhikode–KSR Bengaluru Express, operating from July 31 to August 3, 2026, will be diverted via Banaswadi, skipping KSR Bengaluru, and will terminate at SMVT Bengaluru instead of KSR Bengaluru. The train will arrive at SMVT Bengaluru at 7.45 am.
South Western Railway has advised passengers to take note of the revised schedule and make their travel plans accordingly.
