Immoral policing at Someshwar beach: 4 arrested

Mangaluru, June 2, 2023: Fourn persons have been arrested in connection with the case of immoral policing at Someshwar beach on June 1, Thursday.
Among those arrested are Yathish of Ullal Bastipadpu, Sachin of Uchila, Mokshith of Talapady and Suhan.
It may be recalled here that Jaffer Sharief of Cherkala in Kerala, Mujeeb, and Ashik of Manjeshwar were injured in the attack.
The students of a paramedical college had come to Someshwar beach on Thursday evening. The accused on coming to know that three of the students were Muslims had followed them and assaulted them for coming to the beach with girls of Hindu community.
The girl students who were with the boys have reportedly left for Kerala.
Two police teams were formed to trace the assailants. Those taken into custody are being interrogated.
It has been gathered four of the accused were members of Hindu organisations.
