Karwar/Tumakuru, December 17, 2025: The tahsildar offices in Karwar and Bhatkal, along with the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Tumakuru, received bomb threat emails on Tuesday.

All three emails were sent from a common ID and claimed “revenge from Tamilians and Pakistanis.” However, a thorough search of the premises confirmed that the threats were a hoax.

Police personnel, along with the bomb disposal squad and dog squad, were deployed at the locations. Uttara Kannada Superintendent of Police Deepan M.N. said no explosives were found during the searches.
