Har Ghar Tiranga campaign: National Flag sale commences at KSRTC bus terminus

Mangaluru, Aug 06, 2022: Sale of National Flags in connection with the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsava commenced at the KSRTC bus stand in the city on August 6, Saturday. Today’s programme was organised by DK District Administration, Zilla Panchayat, Mangalore Taluk Panchayat, Swachh Bharat Mission and National Rural Livelihood Mission.

 

 

 

 

 

DK District in-charge Minister and State Minister for Kannada and Culture V Sunil Kumar launched the flag sale initiative. The flags have been prepared by members of Tanmayi Sanjeevini, Gram Panchayat Federation, Rayi Gram Panchayat.

Sunil Kumar said as part of Har Ghar Tiranga campaign  6 lakh national flags will be distributed in the district. People of the district must hoist the flags in their houses and commercial establishments. Steps would also be taken to sell flags through fair price shops, he added.

MLAs D Vedavyas Kamath, Dr Y Bharath Shetty, Mayor Premanand Shetty, Deputy Commissioner Dr K V Rajendra, MCC Commissioner Akshy Sridhar, KSRTC Divisional Controller Rajesh Shetty and others were present.
