Mangaluru, Feb 16, 2024: A delegation of parents met City Police Commissioner Anupam Agrawal and expressed their resentment over the non-registration of an FIR against a teacher of a private school who allegedly made offensive remarks against Hindu religion.

A few parents who spoke to media persons, said no FIR has been filed even a week after lodging a complaint. “We have spoken to the Commissioner in this regard,” they said and added that the issue must be probed thoroughly. They also demanded withdrawal of the FIRr lodged against the MLAs and Hindu organization leaders.
“MLA Vedavyas Kamath was at the protest site and had spoken in favour of parents. An FIR against him is not proper. FIR has also been filed against another MLA Bharath Shetty and VHP leader Sharan Pumpwell who were not at the spot. This is improper,” they said.
