Unidentified Man Killed in Hit-and-Run Near Brahmavar

Brahmavar, May 17, 2026: An unidentified man was killed in a hit-and-run accident near National Highway 66 at Kudrubettu in Uppoor village on the night of May 15.
According to police, a white car travelling from Udupi towards Brahmavar allegedly hit the man, believed to be aged between 30 and 35 years, while he was attempting to cross the road. He sustained severe injuries and later died during treatment at the Udupi District Hospital.
The driver reportedly fled the scene without stopping the vehicle after the accident.
A case has been registered at the Brahmavar police station, and investigation is under way. Police have appealed to the public to contact the station at 0820-2561044 or mobile number 9480805453 with any information regarding the identity of the deceased or his relatives.
