Car parked on footpath creates public protest and commotion

Mangalore, May 12:  Some of the footpath walkers, who were passing near the Gold Flinch hotel, have protested and deflated the air from all four wheels of car, after a traffic block created by a car parked  in front of a luxury hotel on May 11.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The traffic block has also led to a verbal spat between the car owners and  public. The owners of the hotel have used the half of road, a narrow road leading to Balmatta, as well as footpath to park their car. The car parked on the road was obstructing other vehicles smooth flow. The unbearable situation made some of the foot walkers and also drivers of other vehicles to involve in a verbal spat with the employees of the hotel. The car owner argued that he had parked the vehicle in the parking lot of the hotel and it was trespassing on private property if other vehicles passed through the parking lot. The heated argument came to an end after the intervention of Kadri Police, who have arrived at the spot and controlled the situation. Before the control of situation, some of the foot walkers have deflated the air from all four wheels of a car.

Meanwhile, flootwalkers have raised their voice and sought police help to remove the car parked on the road. They have also demanded the police to lodge a complaint against the owners of the Gold Flinch Hotel. Police took the car into their custody and a case has been registered against the car owners.

The public use the road passing in front of gold flinch to Balmatta as  a short cut road. Only light vehicles have the permission to move from here. The situation on the narrow road, where work on constructing an overhead barricade to prevent heavy vehicles passing was already underway, was aggravated by the haphazard parking of the car. 

The work of the overhead concrete barricade is under way now as the the old one collapsed recently.
