Mangalore, Oct 28, 2012:D. V. Sadananda Gowda, former chief minister of Karnataka, said that a final round of talks will be held in New Delhi in a bid to retain supporters of B. S. Yeddyurappa, former chief minister.
Addressing reporters today, Gowda said that this will be the BJP high command’s last attempt to retain Yeddyurappa’s supporters in the party. He said that BSY’s supporters do not want to leave the BJP, but he is forcing them to join his new party. The confusion will finally end with this meeting, he added.
Declaring that internal conflicts are not harming the party in any way, he expressed concerns about certain dangerous comments made by Yeddyurappa and his supporters in public.
Regarding S. M. Krishna’s return to Karnataka, Mr. Gowda said that getting back to state politics will not make S. M. Krishna younger, adding that his return will only create problems within the Congress as Kharge’s and Siddaramaiah’s supporters are already feeling insecure.
