Bantwal, Aug 30, 2026: An LPG tanker travelling from Mangaluru to Bengaluru overturned after crashing into a road divider near Kadegoli in Thumbe on the national highway around midnight on Saturday.

The driver, Pappu Chauhan, was briefly trapped inside the overturned tanker but escaped unhurt. The accident caused a temporary disruption to traffic on the busy highway.

A Bantwal traffic police team led by Sub-Inspector Adarsh rushed to the spot and took measures to regulate traffic. The tanker was later removed using a crane under the supervision of Nagesh Poojary, restoring normal traffic movement.
