Dharwad: Lokayukta traps 3 head constables, home guard over bribe demand

Dharwad, Aug 29, 2026: Lokayukta police on Friday trapped three head constables and a home guard while allegedly accepting a bribe to allow a sand tipper to operate in the Hubballi-Dharwad twin cities.
Lokayukta SP Siddalingappa said tipper driver Hanumanth had lodged a complaint against head constables Hasansab Nadaf, Imam Aktar and Girish Mansur, along with home guard Iqbal Nadaf.
According to the complaint, the accused officials had allegedly demanded ₹30,000 from Hanumanth to permit his sand-laden tipper to operate in the twin cities.
