Mangaluru: Semi-nude protest march demands land titles, sites for 33 Koraga beneficiaries

Mangaluru, October 12, 2026: The Karnataka Adivasi Rights Coordination Committee organised a foot march and a semi-nude protest on Monday, demanding the immediate distribution of land titles and residential plots to 33 beneficiaries from the Koraga community in the Mangalajyothi area of Vamanjoor.

The march began at Mangalajyothi in Vamanjoor and proceeded through Kulasekhar, Nanthoor and Pumpwell before reaching the Deputy Commissioner’s Office at Padil.

The protesters urged the authorities to distribute land titles and residential plots to all 33 beneficiaries without further delay.

Following the march, a public meeting was held at Padil, where the participants called on the concerned officials to take immediate action and ensure justice for the beneficiaries.

Prof. Narendra Nayak, Munir Kattipalla, Sunil Kumar Bajal were among those associated with the protest.
