Mangalore, Sept. 26, 2011: The Arya Vaidya Sala will inaugurate its Mangalore branch at TV Raman Pai Hall on September 28 Wednesday at 5:00 p.m., its 24th branch in India and first branch in Mangalore.

Arya Vaidya Sala GM K. K. Warrier said at a press conference held at Hotel Ocean Pearl today that Arya Vaidya Sala is now a multi-unit, multi-disciplinary, multi-crore organization operating in different areas of the Ayurvedic system.

Speaking about the various features of the organization, he said that it has state-of-the-art medicine-manufacturing units, the third of which was launched at Nanjangud in Karnataka. Stating that the Arya Vaidya Sala has launched brand new generation medication for the younger generation, he said that the organization has produced around 500 formulae in 9 basis dosage forms, which are distributed across the country and abroad via 24 branches, over 1200 authorized dealers, and 4 hospitals.

Speaking about the achievements of the Sala, Mr. Warrier said that the company earns more than Rs. 10 million in foreign exchange alone since around 27 percent of the people opting for its pancharma therapy are foreigners. Besides clinic services, medicine production, and charity, the Arya Vaidya Sala conducts research in various ayurvedic fields, as part of which it established a medicinal plant project, which was inaugurated by Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, the former president of India.

Regarding the new branch inauguration in Mangalore, he said that District-in-charge Minister Krishna J. Palemar will inaugurate the event, with Mayor Praveen presiding. MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLA U. T. Khader, Corporator Ranganath Kini, Dr. Vinayachandra Shetty, Principal of Ayurveda Medical College Moodubidri V. Karunakaran, and Kerala Samajam President P. K. Rajan will also be present.

A Kathakali performance by PSV Natyasangam of Kottakkal will form the highlight of the event.

Dr. P. M. Warrier, the trustee and chief superintendent; Dr. K. Muraleedharana, the trustee and superintendent; K. Venugopalan, the chief manager (legal); Dr. M. V. Vasudevan, the chief medical officer of the Mangalore branch; and P. S. Surendran, the senior manager, were also present.
