Sullia, Jun 26, 2026: A woman from Kerala was rewarded with ₹1 lakh in cash for her honesty after she returned a six-sovereign gold bracelet to its rightful owner.

The bracelet belonged to Bhojappa Ajal, a resident of Adthale, who accidentally dropped it while getting into his car after attending a wedding at Adkar Marriage Hall near Jalsoor on June 21. Despite an extensive search, the bracelet could not be found. He later shared details of the missing ornament on social media, seeking help.

The bracelet was found by a woman from Chattanjalu in Kerala, who had also attended the same wedding. After noticing social media posts about the missing jewellery, she immediately contacted Bhojappa and returned the bracelet.

Touched by her honesty, Bhojappa honoured the woman with a cash reward of ₹1 lakh and also presented her with a gold ring as a token of gratitude.
