Two people, a bus cleaner in the service bus stand and the watchman of Badriya College, have been murdered in separate incidents in different parts of Mangalore on October 17.
The deceased bus cleaner has been identified as Prakash Bhat, son of H. Srinivas, resident of Yenegudde near Kota, Kundapur. He worked as a cleaner at the service bus stand near State Bank of India. His driving license, which was found in his pocket, revealed his identity to the police.
Police have confirmed the death of Bhat to be a murder, although they have not found a clear motive for the same. According to certain resources, Bhat was murdered after a quarrel at the bus stand on the night between Friday and Saturday.
The other deceased person was the watchman of Badriya College who was found dead in a toilet of the college. Police feel that the murder has take place in connection to a theft because the window pane of the office room was found broken. Nobody knows anything about the identity of the watchman.
Both the cases have been registered in Mangalore South Police Station; and police are still investigating the cases.
