Mysuru, Aug 27, 2025: Member of Parliament Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar strongly criticized Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar’s remark that Chamundi Hills and the Chamundeshwari Temple do not belong to Hindus, describing the statement as deeply distressing and objectionable.
In a post on his X account, Wadiyar emphasized that Chamundi Hills is a revered Shakti Peetha, sanctified by scriptures and worshipped by millions of Hindus for centuries. “This temple belonged to Hindus, it belongs to Hindus, and it will always remain so,” he declared, accusing the Congress of repeatedly hurting Hindu sentiments in the name of secularism.
He further stated that while the people of Karnataka respect all religions, they will not accept continued attacks on Hindu festivals, traditions, and temples.
