Florida, July 25, 2025: Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, born Terry Bollea, passed away on July 24 at the age of 71 after suffering a cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater, Florida.
A defining figure in professional wrestling, Hogan was instrumental in catapulting WWE to global fame during the 1980s, leading the iconic ‘Hulkamania’ era. He became a household name after winning the WWF Championship in 1984 and famously faced Andre the Giant at WrestleMania III. In the 1990s, he helped transform WCW with the creation of the nWo (New World Order).
Beyond the ring, Hogan starred in Rocky III, headlined the reality series Hogan Knows Best, and was a two-time WWE Hall of Fame inductee—first in 2005, and again in 2020 after a brief removal.
In recent years, he co-founded the Real American Freestyle wrestling promotion and made political waves, notably appearing at the 2024 Republican National Convention.
Tributes have poured in from wrestling fans, colleagues, and political figures alike.
He is survived by his wife Sky, whom he married in 2023, and his two children, Brooke and Nick.
