Bengaluru, June 8, 2025: Nearly three weeks after the body of a 17-year-old girl was discovered inside a suitcase near railway tracks in Chandapura, CCTV footage has surfaced showing two men carrying the bag late at night.
The footage, dated May 20, shows the suspects walking on a deserted road at 11:51 pm, carrying the blue suitcase containing the victim’s body. Moments later, one of the men briefly returns to the frame, seemingly checking something behind a tree before leaving. Another clip captured earlier at 11:50 pm shows the men in deep discussion before they carry the suitcase towards the tracks.
The girl’s body was found the following day, May 21, near the railway tracks. Initial investigations suggested that she was murdered elsewhere and her body thrown out of a moving train. However, police later clarified that the body was transported near the tracks in a cab before being abandoned.
On Saturday, the Suryanagar Police of Bengaluru Rural division arrested seven suspects from Nawada district in Bihar. Among the arrested are Ashiq Kumar, Mukesh, and Rajaram Mohan. Ashiq Kumar, reportedly married with two children, is believed to be a key suspect in the case.
The case, registered at Suryanagar Police Station on May 21, has revealed new details, with police piecing together the sequence of events leading to the gruesome discovery. Investigations are ongoing to uncover the motive and further involvement of the suspects.
