Mangaluru, June 8, 2025: Shubham Ramesh Warnekar, a Master of Design student at IIT Guwahati from Bejai, along with teammate Kavya Shree Venkatesh, secured second place in the international ‘Stanford Center on Longevity Design Challenge 2024–25’ organised by Stanford University.

Out of over 500 teams from 31 countries, only eight reached the finals. Their entry, a card-based game called “Flow,” promotes lifelong learning, decision-making, and simple living to help players find life’s purpose.

Originally developed during college, the game is set for patenting and further development as a mobile app. John Chandran, Shubham’s former art teacher at St Aloysius High School, praised his achievement as a matter of national pride.

Shubham’s parents, Ramesh and Shobha Warnekar, attended the press conference held on June 7.
