Vitla: POCSO case registered against Kerala minor over alleged sexual assault of minor girl

Vitla, Sep 24, 2026: A POCSO case has been registered at Vitla Police Station against a minor boy from Kerala for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor girl after befriending her through a mobile phone and allegedly calling her to his residence.

The incident reportedly took place on December 21, 2025. On September 8, the girl was admitted to a hospital after she reportedly developed health complications. During a medical examination on September 9, it was revealed that she had given birth to a baby.

POCSO

A case has been registered at Vitla Police Station as Zero FIR No. 01/2026 under Sections 4, 5(J)(ii), 5(L) and 6 of the POCSO Act and Section 64(2)(m) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023.

Police said the case will be transferred to the jurisdictional police station based on the location where the alleged incident occurred.
