Mangalore, Dec 4, 2013: Urwa police station sub-inspector Manjunath K R passed away following a cardiac arrest at A J hospital on December 3, Tuesday.
Manjunath who was 35 year old had been suffering from pancreatic and renal failure was admitted at A J hospital, but unfortunately he passed due to heart attack.
Manjunath, hailing from Chikmagalur belonged to KPS batch 1996 had served the department for 18 years. Manjunath had earlier served in Mangalore north police station, Ullal and was the SI of mobile forest squad in Dakshina Kannada.
He was honoured with CM’s medal during the regime of former chief minister D V Sadananda Gowda.
Manjunath is survived by his wife and a daughter studying in 4th standard.
