Unity Health Complex bags Diamond Eye Award

Mangalore, Dec 23, 2011: The Diamond Eye Award for quality, commitment, and excellent and total quality management accreditation for high-quality performance and best customer satisfaction has been conferred on Unity Health Complex. 

Dr. C. P. Habeeb Rahman, the chairman of Unity Care and Health Services Pvt. Ltd., announced this at a press conference held today at Unity Health Complex and stated that Unity is India’s first healthcare service to receive this award at Geneva in Switzerland from Charbel S. Tabet, the president of Otherways Management and Consulting, on Nov 28, 2011.

 

Dr. Habeeb Rehman is also the recipient of ‘IMA- President’s Appreciation Award’ 2001,  ‘Life Time Achievement Award -2010’ from Social, Economic Growth and National Integration’, New Delhi, Indian Leadership Award for Healthcare Excellence-2010 to name a few.

 

He said that the recipients of this award are chosen by an ISO team through a selection process conducted on parameters and on the basis of information collected from a wide range of sources such as the media, embassies of different countries, chambers of commerce. Over 65 companies from 100 countries received this award and Unity was the only hospital in the list of award winners, he said. 

Stating that healthcare services are gaining importance in India at present owing to the rapid rise of medical tourism, he said that India has the best doctors and modern facilities and is known for providing quality health services. 

He also acknowledged the hard work done by Unity’s staff and management team. Stating that the hospital team has sacrificed a lot and that they will strive hard to render even better services.
