Udupi lorry strike: CM to hold meeting tomorrow

Udupi, Oct 04, 2023: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is scheduled to hold a meeting of elected representatives of Udupi district in Bengaluru on October 5 in view of the impasse over the ongoing strike of the building materials supplying lorry owners.

Udupi District in-charge Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar, Mining and Geology Minister SS Mallikarjuna are also expected to attend the meeting.

Following the decision of the CM to hold a meet, a foot march planned by the lorry owners in Udupi on October 4 has been  withdrawn.

The lorry owners are protesting against the new GPS system among other issues.

Earlier, local MLAs and Congress leaders had requested the Chief Minister to resolve the issue by holding a meeting of all stakeholders concerned.
