Udupi: Thieves steal gold jewellery worth Rs 44.6 lakh from home

Udupi, December 1, 2025: Shaila Wilhelmina (53) and her family had finished dinner and gone to bed when thieves broke into their home on Saturday night in Ullakadu, a locality in the city.
The burglars stole 368 grams of gold jewellery worth ₹44.6 lakh, which had been kept in a cupboard in one of the rooms. The theft came to light the next morning when the family checked the jewellery before going to church.
A case has been registered at Udupi City Police Station, and the investigation is ongoing.
