Delivering the keynote address on the theme “To Live Respected and Command Respect,” Brother Jacques highlighted the values and principles that guide Freemasonry and its role in fostering harmony and service in society.

On the occasion, senior Freemason Dr. Divaker Rao was felicitated in recognition of his long-standing and dedicated service to Freemasonry. Mrs. Sophia Zacharias was honoured with the title of “Model Masonic Mother” for her contributions and support to the fraternity.

Universal Brotherhood Day is observed by Freemasons across the world on June 24. The day emphasizes community service, charity, and public engagement, while reaffirming the Masonic principles of charity, truth, and brotherly love. It also serves as an opportunity to strengthen commitment to these values and to share with the public the fraternity’s history and contributions to society.

As part of the celebrations, donations were presented to several charitable institutions, including Ramakrishna Mission, Abhaya Ashraya, Roman and Catherine Lobo School for the Blind, Anand Ashram Seva Trust, Sri Krishna Charitable Trust, and Fr. L.M. Pinto Charitable Trust.

The programme was organised by a committee of Freemasons, with Dr. A.G. Jayakrishnan serving as the convener.
