Udupi: 4 BJP office bearers expelled for backing Raghupathi Bhat

Udupi, May 31, 2024: The BJP has expelled four party office bearers of Udupi for their support to the expelled former MLA Raghupathi Bhat who is contesting as an independent candidate in the South West Graduates’ Constituency after the party denied him a ticket.

Those expelled are Mahesh Thakur, Udupi District BJP Vice President, Upendra Nayak, Vice President of Kaup Mandal unit of BJP, Roshan Shetty, District Yuva  Morcha Vice President and Junaid, District Minority Morcha President.

District BJP President Kishore Kumar Kundapur said the party had earlier service notices to the four  leaders and added that they were expelled for a term of six years as the answers provided by them were not satisfactory.
