Fathima Nishan murder case: Two accused granted conditional bail

Sulya, Sep 3, 2026: The Fifth Additional Sessions Court in Puttur has granted conditional bail to two accused in the murder of Fathima Nishan, whose death near Kadepal had initially raised suspicion.

The Sulya police had arrested Fathima’s father-in-law Alavi, mother-in-law Aisha and sister-in-law Faseela on allegations that they had assaulted and killed her on the night of July 18. The accused were subsequently produced before the Senior Civil Judge and JMFC Court in Sulya and remanded to judicial custody.

A bail petition was filed before the Fifth Additional Sessions Court in Puttur on behalf of Aisha and Faseela. The court allowed the petition and granted them conditional bail.

Senior advocate M. Venkappa Gowda, along with Champa V. Gowda, Rajesh B.G., Shyam Prasad N.K. and Vimalesh R. Gowda, represented the accused in the bail proceedings.
